If you want to enjoy classic vinyl. This is the SPOT! I went in because they were playing Sade and I sat on the couch and enjoyed the ambiance. Nice chill spot for a date night or just to unwind.

My fiancé and I went to the River room for a relaxing date with cocktails. We had a great time sitting on a couch with a very cozy and relaxing atmosphere on a weeknight. It was kind of late and the bartender treated us so graciously and made us feel welcome. We are from Portland, OR and this place had vibes from home. It was perfect and will be going back a lot.

River Room is a cool spot to enjoy drinks with friends! Unlike other area bars, it's got a relaxed atmosphere and the friendliest bartenders. I tried two different specialty cocktails and they were both fantastic. I'm looking forward to going again!

Cool atmosphere, good mixed drinks. There were some rare bourbons available so I was happy about that! The online menu from their website was pretty accurate and had some extra goodies. I enjoyed a pour of George T. Stagg - 2019 batch.

Stopped in on a Monday evening before dinner. The old fashions were good. The bartender very nice and knowledgeable about the area. I stopped back in after dinner for another old fashion.

We rented out The River Room for our engagement party in September 2025 and could not have asked for a better experience. The venue was perfect, set-up was easy & very accommodating, their catering was fabulous, and their staff were some of the best people I have ever worked with. Our party was loud & crowding the bar & making requests and they never skipped a beat. I’d recommend The River Room & their bartenders over & over again! We will certainly be back to celebrate again in the future.

We discovered River Room while searching for a new favorite bar after moving to Baton Rouge. It delivers! We love the atmosphere with dark lighting, great music, and delicious cocktails! The bartenders are great and Kurtis quickly becomes your friend. They have a small outdoor patio and an upstairs party room available for rent.

We rented the bar out for a 50th birthday party and it was literally amazing. Pearl & Alex were great on getting the party started and working the bar. Kudos and highly recommend it for private events!

The River Room in downtown Baton Rouge offers a nice, relaxed atmosphere perfect for unwinding. I ordered the $6 beer & a shot deal. The bar has a comfortable indoor area, but I also appreciated the outdoor seating option in the back, even if it felt a bit average.
